Each technician displays their hourly rate on their profile. You can discuss the final price directly with the technician before booking.

How do I book an appointment?

To book an appointment:

  • Log in to your account

  • Click the "Book Appointment" button
  • Select your preferred date and time
  • Provide details about the job
  • Confirm your booking

You'll receive a confirmation notification and the technician will contact you to confirm.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, you can cancel a booking. We recommend canceling at least 2 hours before the scheduled time. To cancel:

  • Go to your dashboard
  • Navigate to "My Bookings"
  • Select the booking you wish to cancel
  • Click "Cancel Booking" and provide a reason

Repeated last-minute cancellations may affect your account standing.

How do I become a technician on FundiMtaani?

To join as a technician:

  • Click "Register" and select "Technician Account"

  • Set your service areas and hourly rate
  • Submit for verification (usually takes 2-3 business days)
  • Once verified, you can start accepting bookings!

What are the different technician plans?

We offer four technician tiers:

  • Junior Tech: 0-2 years experience, basic services
  • Senior Tech: 3-5 years experience, complex repairs
  • Pro Technician: 6+ years, certified professionals
  • Legendary: 10+ years, master experts, priority service

Your plan determines visibility, booking priority, and featured placement.

How do I get paid for my services?

Payments are processed as follows:

  • Customers pay you directly via cash, M-Pesa, or bank transfer
  • FundiMtaani does not hold payments - you receive payment directly
  • We recommend agreeing on payment terms before starting work
  • For large projects, consider a deposit before starting

How does technician verification work?

Verification includes:

  • Government ID validation
  • Certificate and qualification checks
  • Background verification
  • Portfolio review
  • Reference checks (for Pro and Legendary plans)

Verified technicians receive a "Verified" badge on their profile.

Yes, price negotiation is allowed. We recommend:

  • Agreeing on price before work begins

The hourly rate shown is a guideline - final pricing can be negotiated based on job complexity.

What is your refund policy?

If you're unsatisfied with a service:

  • If unresolved, report to FundiMtaani within 48 hours
